Our Aims

The Mission statement of the Police Pagan Association:

The Police Pagan Association was founded as a national organisation to support Pagan police officers and staff. By working together, we aim to improve the relationship between the Pagan community and the police.”


The functions of the Police Pagan Association are:

  • To raise awareness and understanding of Paganism in all forms.
  • To raise awareness and understanding of issues affecting Pagans within the Police Service.
  • To facilitate or contribute to discussions on issues that concern Pagan officers and staff providing wherever possible the Pagan perspective.
  • To develop a network of professional and social contacts between officers nationally and internationally.
  • To facilitate the sharing of information on issues affecting the Service, and Pagans in particular.
  • To contribute to the continuous professional development of all members.
  • To contribute to the creation and implementation of legislation that impacts on Paganism and the Pagan community.
  • To act as a ‘critical friend’ in matters relating to Paganism at a national level

The strategic objectives of the Police Pagan Association are:

  • Providing the role of Critical Friend to the Home Office, NPCC, The College Of Policing, constabularies, police staff associations, and Unison.
  • Delivering the strategic objectives and policing vision of the EDHR strategy.
  • Facilitating the development and sharing of local DSSA good practice.
  • Facilitating national debate and consultation on policy, practice and procedure.
  • Maintaining links with the Home Office, NPCC, and The College of Policing through stakeholder meetings.
  • Providing support to members in the absence of local representation, and assist in the development of local DSSAs where appropriate.
